This is the pioneer book book that was written by Jodi Thomas in 1988. She employs a perfect writing style in all her novels. Apart from this award, she has won several other awards and this makes her one of the most recognized American writers. Her second novel was known as the “Northern Star” that was published in 1990. Due to this, it was nominated as the National Press Women Novel of the Year. This, therefore, implies that it won the Romantic Times Reviewer’s Choice Award for the Best Romance. Her passion for writing began when she thought that her salary as a teacher wasn’t enough to educate her children who were in college by then. Her husband served in the United State Army and despite this, it was never a barrier for the couples to travel to different parts of the world. Jodi Thomas got married to Tom Kaumalats and they have got two sons. She holds a Master’s degree in Family Studies.
